Pada Materi 2 ini, kalian akan mempelajari present perfect tense.

 

What is present perfect tense?

 

Apakah Present Perfect Tense itu? Present prefect tense digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian atau situasi yang terjadi di masa lalu dan telah selesai atau masih berlanjut tetapi efeknya masih terlihat atau dirasakan saat ini. Present perfect tense dibentuk dengan auxiliary verb "have"� atau "has"�, dan past participle (verb-3). Have digunakan untuk I, you, they, we, sedangkan has untuk he, she, it, dan orang ketiga tunggal. Past participle bisa menggunakan regular atau irregular verbs.

Study the following pattern!

 

1. Possitive Form

Pattern:

Example:

1) Kathrin has gone to Pontianak

2) We have had our dinner this evening

 

2. Negative Form

Pattern:

Example:

1) Kathrin has not gone to Pontianak

2) We have not had our dinner this evening

 

3. Interrogative Form

Pattern:

Example:

1) Has Kathrin gone to Pontianak?

2) Have we had our dinner this evening?

 

Perhatikanlah contoh dari bentuk kalimat pendek positif dengan cara klik kata positive short form ini.

• We have studied English since a month ago. (Kita telah belajar bahasa Inggris sejak 1 bulan yang lalu).
• We have studied English for a month. (Kita telah belajar bahasa Inggris selama 1 bulan).
• The kids have already eaten their breakfast.
• Zaky has not traveled around the world yet.
• Have you played the piano since you were a child?

Perlu kalian ingat: untuk menyusun kata menjadi kalimat yang baik terlebih dahulu kalian lihat apakah kalimat itu kalimat positif atau bukan. Jika ya, maka kalian tentukan subyek kalimat tersebut. Selanjutnya auxilary verb (has/have). Kemudian past participle (V3) dan terakhir yaitu complement.

 

Perhatikan contoh berikut ini:

won - the chess - they- have - contest

 

Susunan kata yang benar adalah: They have won the chess contest.

 

Jika kalimatnya negative, auxilary verb (has/have) diikuti dengan kata not. Kemudian past participle (V3) dan terakhir yaitu complement.

 

Cermati contoh berikut ini:

bought - not - a laptop - Riko - has

 

Susunan kata yang benar adalah: Riko has not bought a laptop.

 

Dalam kalimat Interrogative, kalian tentukan auxilary verb yang benar (has/have) sesuai dengan subyek kalimat tersebut. Kemudian past participle (V3) dan terakhir yaitu complement.
