Setelah kalian mempelajari kata-kata kerja dalam bahasa Inggris (materi 1) dan bentuk pola kalimat present tense (materi 2) maka pada materi 3 ini kalian akan mempelajari kalimat present perfect tense yang menunjukkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya dan hasilnya masih bisa dilihat.

 

Now, Study the following sentences.

1. Nida hasn't eaten lunch. She is very hungry.
2. We have just arrived. We haven't seen anybody but you.
3. I have never eaten in that restaurant. I don't know its special menu.
4. He has not washed the car yet. He will do it later.

 

The sentences above show activities that occurred before now and we can still see the results.

 

Kalimat nomor 1 menyatakan bahwa "Nida belum makan siang. Dia sangat lapar.".� Kalimat nomor 2 menyatakan bahwa "Kami baru saja tiba. Kami tidak melihat seorangpun kecuali kamu.". � Kalimat nomor 3 menyatakan bahwa "Saya belum pernah makan di restauran itu. Saya tidak tahu menu spesialnya.".� Dan kalimat nomor 4 menyatakan bahwa "Dia belum mencuci mobilnya. Dia akan melakukannya nanti."�

 

Dari penjelasan di atas memperlihatkan kalimat pertama menunjukkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya sedangkan kalimat kedua menunjukkan hasilnya atau alasannya.
